UNBOXING AND PRIMING YOUR G.GUN

CONGRATULATIONS ON PURCHASING A NEW G.GUN.
BEFORE USE, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO PRIME THE G.GUN'S PUMP.

When you first get your G.Gun Grease Gun, you’ll need to add a few pounds of grease to get the gun primed. You only need to do this once. Filling it in the future is as simple as adding grease and putting the lid back on.

You can see download printable instructions here. They also come with all new G.Guns.

If you’d rather watch than listen, check out this video on how to prime your G.Gun:

  1. Here’s the quick version of getting your G.Gun ready for use:

    1. To prime your G.Gun, add about 4-6 pounds of bulk pumpable grease into the main chamber. It should come up to the cross bar inside the main chamber.
    2. While gripping the handle, hit the G.Gun down on a hard floor or ground to push the grease down into the chamber. This eliminates air bubbles. Adding too much grease before this step locks the air bubbles in the grease.
    3. Pump using the foot pump until grease flows through the hose. We suggest keeping the end of the grease hose pointed back into the main chamber during this process so you don’t spray it all over your shop. Remember that you’re moving grease through 10 feet of hose, so you’ll need to pump for awhile.

Here's another video of us going through the priming steps:

If your G.Gun does not prime, it is most likely due to an airlock in the hose. Remove the hose from the delivery side of the pump, and pump until grease starts flowing. See the printable instructions for more details.
