The Right Air Chuck For You: Open vs. Closed, Straight vs. 90°

When it comes to inflating tires, the right air chuck can make the job quicker, safer, and hassle-free. LockNFlate® Air Chucks offers two key flow options—Open and Closed—and two designs—Straight and 90°—so you can pick exactly what works for your setup. Jay will walk you through how to choose:

Open Flow vs. Closed Flow

  • Open Flow: Air flows through the chuck immediately. Perfect for hand- or foot-operated inflators where the trigger on the inflator controls airflow.

  • Closed Flow: Air only flows when the chuck is firmly engaged on the valve stem. This offers precise control and prevents accidental air loss, ideal for direct hose connections.

Straight vs. 90° Style

  • Straight: The classic design. Compact, efficient, and great for standard tire setups.

  • 90°: Features a right-angle bend for tight or hard-to-reach valves, like on motorcycles, ATVs, or certain bike tires.

The right chuck saves time, prevents frustration, and protects your equipment. The LockNFlate® air chuck locks securely to the valve, so there’s no slipping, leaking, or wasted air—making every inflation easier.
